Architectural Review Committee

Committee membership consists of:

Under the terms of the restrictive covenents filed with Orange County, this committee must review and approve any of the following:

  • Plans for building or extending any structure
  • Remodelling - where any changes impact the exterior
  • Re-landscaping or any major planting changes
  • Re-painting exterior of any structure
  • Any hardscape changes - e.g. driveways, sidewalks, pool

The committee will make every attempt to review your plans in a tiemly manner. This is usually less than 30 days if you have all the necessary paperwork needed for the ARC to make a decision.

All changes to the exterior of your home require prior approval from the ARC. Please note the purpose of this review process is to ensure that the community properties continue to reflect and enhance the overall value and desirability of owning and living in Waterford Pointe.

Lakes and Ponds

Lake Roberts is a vital part of our community and the Lakes and Ponds Committee performs an active role in ensuring that this natural resource is effectively managed.

  • Mark Novokowsky - chair

Over the years this committee has actively and successfully lobbied to have Orange County take a proactive and a specifically budgeted role in managment of the lake. Weed control of the many invasive species that find their way into our lake is a never ending task. Introduction of Carp into the lake to help control the weed has also been spearheaded by this group of motivated homeowners.

The U.S. Geological Survey. Geographic Names Phase I data compilation (1976-1981). provides more information about our lake.

Landscape and Grounds

The landscaping of the extensive grounds within our community is ably managed by this committee. For 2019 we have:

Rich Talyor - Chairperson

In Florida growth rates are high just about all year round, thus activity seldom stops as trees are thinned and trimmed, lawns are mowed and shrubs and hedges are trimmed.

Similarly, power washing of common ares sidewalks, curbs and brick walls are also regularly scheduled. Due to the maturing and aging of some of our large trees and palms there will be some replacement planting planned.

Starting in 2009 the various water management districts have decided to impose further limits on when irrigation systems may be operated. Irrigation is prohibited between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.

During daylight saving time (second Sunday in March until the first Sunday in November) irrigation is limited to no more than two days per week on scheduled days.

Residential irrigation is allowed on Wednesday and Saturday at addresses that end in an odd number or have no address.

Residential irrigation is allowed on Thursday and Sunday at addresses that end in an even number.

Nonresidential irrigation is allowed on Tuesday and Friday.

During Eastern Standard Time (first Sunday in November until the second Sunday in March) irrigation is limited to no more than one day per week on scheduled days.

Residential irrigation is allowed on Saturday at addresses that end in an odd number or have no address.

The Security and Saftey Committee:

The safety committe reviews the reported incidents to ensure all issues have been addressed appropriately. If anyone becomes aware of any safety or security issues please contact the on duty guard at 407-909-0298.
